BAAHE MEMBERSHIP (underlined phrases indicate links)
The
Belgian Association of Anglicists in Higher Education (BAAHE),
which was founded in 1981, provides a forum both for academics
who study the literatures in English or English linguistics at
Belgian universities, and for
Anglicists who teach and do research in interpreters' schools
and other Belgian institutions of
higher education.
The association organizes an annual
BAAHE event, which features both keynote lecturers from abroad
and Belgian scholars. BAAHE publications
include Belgian Journal of English Language and Literatures
(BELL), of which paid-up members
receive a complimentary copy.
This homepage aims to become a virtual crossroads of English
Studies in Belgium,
announcing publications by Belgian
Anglicists and forthcoming Belgian
events in English studies. The conference
announcements, calls for papers
and useful links should contribute to
facilitating the life of those who are in the business of English
studies. Contributions to this site should be sent to the
webmaster.
Membership
fees are due for each calendar year. The 2005 membership
dues amount to EUR 35,00 for tenured members and
EUR 25,00 for students, non-tenured and retired members,
and should be paid into BAAHE account 001-1771659-30, at
the latest before or at the annual meeting.
