BAAHE Conference 2008

Welcome to the website of the 2008 BAAHE conference to be held at the University of Namur (FUNDP) on Saturday 22 November 2008.

Twenty years after BAAHE's first visit to Namur, it is with great pleasure that Namur's English Unit hosts this year's conference. The plenary speaker for the day will be Prof. Barbara Dancygier from the University of British Columbia.

In addition to the plenary lecture, the programme features 18 session papers focusing on the relation between theory and application in the different areas covered by BAAHE (literary and cultural studies, linguistics, translation studies, and ELT).

The 2008 BAAHE conference is organized with the financial support of the University of Namur's Faculty of Arts and its English Unit.
